Building a benchmark for smart agriculture in the Middle East

Registered in Abu Dhabi, we combine biotechnology, digital technology and modern farm management to deliver one-stop agricultural solutions.

Company Profile

Green Silicon Valley Agriculture L.L.C – S.P.C

Green Silicon Valley Agriculture L.L.C – S.P.C is a comprehensive agricultural company registered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We focus on full-chain modern agricultural services and technological innovation in smart agriculture. Rooted in the agricultural needs of the Middle East, we empower agriculture with technology and lead the industry with standards, and we are building an international demonstration platform for modern agriculture that integrates R&D, application, services and exhibition.

Drawing on Abu Dhabi's location and industrial strengths, we are expanding our core businesses: breeding and supply of seeds and seedlings, modern agricultural demonstration and exhibition, technical training, professional agricultural services, artificial intelligence in agriculture, and agricultural big data. By integrating biotechnology and digital technology with modern production and management systems, we provide one-stop solutions for farming, park operation and industrial upgrading.

We focus on high-quality, high-yield and stress-resistant crop varieties, offering localized breeding, large-scale propagation and standardized supply. Our technical team runs systematic training in planting techniques, water and fertilizer management and smart-farm operation. Across the whole production cycle, we offer tailored services including technical consulting, park planning, irrigation operation and maintenance, and production management on behalf of clients.

Our modern agricultural demonstration base showcases advanced planting models, high-efficiency equipment and digital management systems, and serves as a platform for industry exchange, technology promotion and partnership. We also apply AI monitoring, pest and disease early warning, precision planting decisions and agricultural data analysis in practice, helping growers raise quality and efficiency, cut costs and resource use, and move towards precise, intelligent and sustainable farming.

Looking ahead, technological innovation will remain our core driver. We will deepen China–UAE cooperation in agricultural technology, bring together high-quality international resources and experience, and build an influential smart agriculture company in Abu Dhabi and across the Middle East, supporting the region's agricultural modernization.

Project Introduction

Green Silicon Valley Industry Park of UAE

A comprehensive agricultural science and technology park in Al Ain, developed jointly with Silal.

Master plan: multi-span and large-span greenhouses, water treatment centre, solar power, nursery and logistics zones

The project is located in the Al Ain region of the United Arab Emirates and is being developed by our company together with Silal. Investment in Phase I has been completed, and a greenhouse cluster covering 100,000 square metres has been built. The project addresses the challenges of farming in the UAE's tropical desert climate under the theme “Empowering Desert Oases with Technology”. Drawing on our experts and technical resources, we have formed an international research team and are advancing the project with Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands and other universities and companies.

The park introduces the advanced “Shouguang Model” greenhouse system, optimized for the local arid climate, and integrates AI-assisted growing, water-saving irrigation, soil improvement and photovoltaic agriculture. Intelligent greenhouses and a water treatment centre support high-value tomato, pepper and eggplant varieties adapted to the desert. The project achieves water-use efficiency above 90% and yields more than three times those of traditional planting, while its photovoltaic greenhouses generate 1 million kWh of electricity and avoid 8,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year, making summer vegetable production possible.

At full capacity, the project will raise the UAE's fruit and vegetable self-sufficiency by 15–20% and create more than 500 jobs. It is designed as a model for sustainable agriculture in desert regions worldwide and supports the UAE's agricultural transformation and food security.

Our technical foundation

Built on the “Shouguang Model”

Our greenhouse systems and operating methods come from Shouguang, Shandong, known as China's “Hometown of Vegetables”. Shouguang Vegetable Industry Holding Group, founded in 1998 and among the first national key leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization, has developed this model across the whole vegetable value chain, from breeding and standards to processing and trade.

Its cooperation with the Netherlands, including a Dutch subsidiary since 2012 and breeding work with Wageningen University & Research, connects Chinese scale with European horticultural science.
